I am bigger on top than I am in my bottom half so I really want a bit more definition for my waist. Do I alter the dress with a lace up or would a proper corset define my waist enough that I can just get the dress taken in?? Any suggestions appreciated
Can anyone tell me if they have ever bought a proper boned, lace up corset? My wedding dress has a zip up back and if I get a lace up back put into the dress I will lose some of the detail at the back so am in a dilemma
Proper corsets are fairly uncomfy but give a fab shape. HOw about trying a waist cincher?? You could get them in posh lingerie shops like maybe peaches & cream or something?

They're smaller than a corset they go just around your waist under the dress. I havne't worn one myself but a friend had one for her wedding and swore by it.
mmm ok, thanks! need my waist to look v small as my dress is all about the small waist & big full skirt. any idea of price & how many inches they pull you in?
I guess they can range in the amount they squeeze you in and the cost here are some from gok wan:
I wore a lovely one from Susan Hunter, my dress had a drop at the back and the corset also droped at the back but gave a really nice clean line and support for the boobs !!
she has a shop in the Powerscourt centre, small and very personal .. she'll fit it on for you !
any idea of price? thanks!
