Anyone stayed in a nice central hotel in Paris?

Hi Ive never been to Paris and just wondering if anyone knows of a good hotel that is central and not too expensive? Thanks

I stayed in 'Mon Hotel' in October, it is 2 mins walk from the champs elysees and l'arc de triomphe. Lovely hotel, small rooms like all paris hotels but very nice, lovely comfy bed too! Think we stayed for 2 nights on our way back from Dubai and would definately recommend it. Not expensive either. walking distance of everything.

We stayed in Du Cadran in March 2005 and it was really inexpensive and fairly central. We had a view of the eiffel tower from our room. Just checked out website and it seems to have been renovated aswell!
