Hi , I am in a dilema, I am Irish and living in NZ and am due end of November. My son's name is cormac so we want to keep to irish names, but I cant decide on Maeve or Aveen for a girl? We using ellen as a middle name. We have a our boys name sorted! Please help! O:|

I love both of those names, my friend names her baby Aveen (think she spelled Aoibheann or something like that) and i thought it was lovely to be honest they are both lovely so you cant go far wrong!

Sonsim14 Out of curiousity, what names have you thought of for a boy. I'm in the same situation as you (Irish but living abroad). I'd go with Aveen. It's pronounced as it's spelled and that's not always the case with Irish names as you well know.
