Best area to stay in in Lanzarote?

Hey wollies, just booking a week in Lanzarote for December and just wondering where the best area to stay is? Not too bothered about nightlife, just looking for good food and the biggest Zara possible! Thanks a mill

Oh I love Lanzarote you lucky thing. Peurto del Carmen is lovely and if you stay up near or in the old town, you've got a lovely big shopping mall with a Zara that you can spend all your money in! Enjoy

http://www.farioneshotels.com/resorts/suitehotel/ We are just back from here. It's a very central place in between the old and new parts, close to that shopping centre too. The apartments are quite big, a little dated but spotless and have everything you'd need.
