Hi all, I know the majority of people go for bridesmaids in matching colours but this is something I have never really been too fond of I think it looks like a uniform or something. So I was thinking of going for all different colours I have two bridesmaids and two flower girls, I'm going for an autumnal theme so the girls would all be in autumy colours but all different. Then i'm thinking god will it all look a bit too mad everyone in different colours or would it be nice? Any one have any opinions on this.

Hi Fuzzy :wv I kinda did this , i have 3 maids , and i wanted to mix and match so i picked one dress for all but 2 in a light shimmery brown and my sister in a light biscuit colour . There was ment to be a brown flower on the biscuit dress and vice versa but i didnt do that as i love the dresses the way they are. The 2 colours really compliment each other. I picked simple ivory roses for their bouquets but the stems are covered in the opposite colour of the girls dress IYKWIM ( My sis in biscuit dress with ivory rosed covered with brown material and lace ) I was going to go for a very simple dress Aline dress and put a contrasting colour sash around the waste and tie in a bow at the back, but change the colours around for the next maid. This way they match very well but are still very different. Hope i was of some help and didnt just confuse you more. I will post some pics when i do my report.

Hi, I had planned on having black bridesmaid dresses but after seeing a picture in a magazine with a bride with different coloured ones i fell in love with them. Very different and cool i think. I have 4 bridesmaids so they will probably be wearing all the same long slinky dress with 1 Pink, 1 Green, 1 Purple and 1 Blue. There was another thread on this subject a while ago if you try and search for it. I was only goggling pictures of mismatching dresses this morning.

Hi, was thinking of something like this myself but wasn't sure would it work with just 2 BM's? I have 2 flowergirls myself but was planning on putting them in white like myself. Anytime i see the mismatch BM's there always seems to be 3 or more? Then i had an idea of putting the girls in knee length white with a black sash but again i'm just not sure how it would look, everyone in white?? I've seen it being done with Ivory dresses and thought it looked lovely. I'm going back and forward in my head with this!!! PS...Sorry for hijacking your thread there!! :-8

Yeah i think it is harder to get it right with 2 bm. Would you go for maybe the same dress and the same colour but just different shades. pale blue dark blue etc. light green darker green. Think this would be nice.

I think it would be nice and slightly different.

I'm doing this, have 4 bridesmaids & 1 jr bm so going midnight blue for 2 bm's and amethyst for the other 2 and the junior bm! The colours are very close butthe slight difference should be lovely :lvs Got a strange reaction from the older generation when I suggested this but I think it'll break up the momotony of the one colour (particularly as I have 4 bm's) Also have a flowergirl in ivory with little bits of the two colours brought in to her dress. It's a winter wedding so the colours are dark enough. Love the pics online of the different colour dresses :)
