deli meat/chicken

i know we're not supposed to eat from a deli in spar or a garage etc unless we trust their hygiene standards etc but i take it its ok to eat sliced ham/chicken like Denny or Shaws etc?

Yes its perfectly fine - as long as its kept fridgeratored, still in date etc. In fact the not eating other deli meats (from delis) is actually an American thing - the Irish medical board doesn't advice against that. I asked the mid-wife in Holles St and she said she had never heard of not eating deli meat!

I often get a sandwich/wrap in from the Deli in various different Centras/Spars etc I never knew you werent supposed too.
