DJ for ceremony

Hi anybody that is having/had a civil ceremony are you having a dj doing ceremony music or musician? What is the opinions on a dj doing ceremony music??

We have done this on a number of occasions and it has been successful. I first did this for a friends wedding but have done it since for both religious ceremonies and civil ceremonies and blessings and in fact are doing it this weekend.... It is very different from having a singer because you don't have visual element to having somebody performing live at your ceremony and its always better to set a good level of expectation for this but in terms of music and delivering a service, it can work very successfully.
