Just wondering what you fashionistas make of the (faux) leather biker jackets out at the moment? I think I was hoping the cut would become more classic but doesn't look it's moving towards that any time soon. I kinda need a jacket for wearing out in the evenings over the Summer months. The biker cut wouldn't be my favourite but I suppose it's growing on me, particularly on the paler coloured jackets. What do ye think of the asymmetrical zips as well? mmm...decisions, decisions......

Khaki leather = beige = Mumford & Sons = Satan. Therefore: Hell / Beige = the voices of demons / Mumford & Sons = Satan. There are dark forces at play in this world. These forces wish to rid the world of colour and its inhabitants of individuality. We must not let them. If they get their way, we will all end up wearing beige leather jackets, GAP sweatshirts and shoes. We'll all end up with uniform CD collections that consist entirely of David Gray, Mumford & Sons, Lisa Hannigan, Adele, U2, and Lumineres. Everyone will be an IT specialist by day and a frequenter of deli counters and gyms by night. To combat this, we must all wear hippie wigs and lurex pants. We must surround ourselves with the most varied CD collections known to mankind - everything from Tom Waites to ABBA, Leonard Cohen to Black Lace, Boney M to Emimem, The Bonzo Dog Doo Da band to Echo and the Bunnymen. We must build space craft for a living, or own cheese shops, or grease down cross-channel swimmers. Listening to Mumford & Sons is what they want. You do it, you're a goner. Don't go the way of the damned. The ploys of the evil beige leather jacket wizards win over the weak. Don't let the same happen to the rest of you. Run. Run like the devil himself were at your heels. Hope that answers your question.

TOM don't be slaggin Mumford & Sons. I love them. JS - I'm on the fence about the biker jackets. I have one. A nice black one from Zara. I've had loads of wear from it, had it about 2 years now but recently I've found myself wearing it less. At 28, it pains me to say it but I'm starting to feel like all the zips and studs are a wee bit young for me. However, I've just invested in the most gorgeous black leather jacket from Oasis. No zips, buttons or studs. It falls just at the bottom of my back and the front is a little longer. It has suede waterfall style lapels, the (real) leather is so soft and the fit is amazing. I'm getting loads of compliments on it. I think they have it in a beige colour too if that's the shade you're after. Give me a min and I'll see if I can find it.

This is the one. Looks a lot nicer in reality though. Probably wouldn't have bought it based the website pic.

That jacket is beautiful macattack. OP yeah I like the biker jackets. I have a black one.... not altogether sure I can pull it off but you know when it starts to get a bit warmer so you can't wear your long coats but it's still a bit chilly for a light blazer - handy for that time of year. Friend of mine got a lovely beigy one from Miss Selfridge last year, nice soft leather.

Hey ladies, sorry didn't get a chance to get back to this yesterday. SunnyK - that's exactly what I want it for. I don't want to be wearing a full length coat or wool jacket out at night & into pubs over the Summer but would still need something to keep the chill at bay. I'll be getting some form of lighter jacket to fulfill the requirement. Macattack - that jacket is really fab and certainly closer to the classic cut I would opt for. I'm very wary of the studs & zips etc too - it's just not my usual style (ToM would call me "beige"!). I only had a quick browse on the website (after reading Zara and scouring the site numerous times for it before re-reading your post and realising it was on Oasis!!). ToM. I don't know how to respond. I'm a beige sorta person. Your currently on an awful vendetta against Mumford & Sons I see.
