Mine was my cabbage patch kid when I was 7. She had ginger hair and her name was very bizarre indeed, Carrie Reggie. I loved her so much and she is still on top of the wardrobe in my bedroom at home in Ireland to this day.
I found out (when I stopped believing in Mr Claus of course), that my parents had to go up to the North of Ireland to get her as they were all sold out in the South. Aparantly they were huge in America at the time and people were even crying when they could not get their hands on one. I felt delighted to have mine.

My Day to Night Barbie - I really really really wanted it, but in those days Barbies were so expensive, so I didn't think for a minute that Santa would be able to afford to get her for me. But lo and behold on Christmas morning, there she was. I must have been about seven I think.
Like another poster there, my folks had to go up to Newry to get her! I still have her in a case in my Mam's attic at home!
I just loved her hat and briefcase and how she was all dressed up as a business woman, but, one quick changearound of her skirt later - she was dressed for a night on the town!
A couple of years later, I asked for a Jem doll, from the Jem cartoon series that I used to watch. She had this tight lycra purple dress and her earrings FLASHED!

Sweet Jesus, nearly wet myself there when i saw the pic of the A La Carte Kitchen. I wanted that soooooo badly but Santa ran out of them!

That kitchen caused mam so much grief, she couldn't get it anywhere so i got another type of kitchen which i loved and played with all the time, it was actually bigger than the a la carte but didn't have wheels! Still i never forgot that a la carte kitchen!

I also got that make up doll too and loved it!

Sylvanian families were my favourite though!

I loved mine and after taking care of her for so ling my little baby sister decided to dye her hair with "nail varnish" No more out on the town for day to night barbie.
I got the barbie town house one year with no furniture!
Does anyone remember the lolo balls. I loved mine until it burst and I got the stand stuck in the back of the radiator.
