Dress - Make vs Buy...

Has anyone any experience of getting their dress made? I have been dress shopping but as I am fairly fussy I have seen bits of one dress I like and bits of others so I am now considering getting my dress made to get exactly what I want. Any ideas roughly what the cost is to get a dress made? Also does anyone have details of a good dressmaker in Munster?

I had the same problem so decided to get my dress made...and I'm so glad I did. I am getting exactly what I want, and the option is there to change whatever I don't like as the time gets closer. For what I wanted the price was between €1300 and €2000 depending on the amount of detail and embroidery. Mine is in Dublin, so wouldn't be much use to you...sorry

I'm having mine made but havent even had first fitting yet so have no clue how it will turn out. Mine is costing approx 2,000 in dublin.
