dublin venues

hey guys i'm trying to find a venue, thinking of dublin or kildare as bulk of both familes are on east coast but am from the south so don't know either county well, we'd like a country house/manor/castle if possible for an old style to the day and we'll ne having approx 200 guests, has anyone any suggestions? would be much appreciated kyb2b

I know of two in Kildare: Barberstown Castle and Kilkea Castle. Kilkea is more of a castle. If you do searches for both venues, they have great reviews. We have booked Barberstown - it's a lovely venue, especially if you want "old style"! Edited to add, Kilkea's max is 200 (I think!) and Barberstown's is 300.

im having my reception in the keedean hotel in newbridge, kildare. their max is 300+ in the ballroom. theres also Morans hotel {the red cow}, or any of the hilton hotels

Killashee House in Kildare is fab....
