can anyone reccommend a good enough restuarant in Sligo - not looking for anything ott or offering 6 courses etc. Just somewhere that does a good steak and chicken dishes. much appreciated d

Had one of the best meals ever in Sligo. Place called Donahys. It's a pub but restaurant upstairs. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced.

Donaghy aka Coach Lane is lovely. I'd also recommend Fiddlers Creek.

The Embassy Rooms is also lovely and reasonably priced. Its next door to Toffs night club and has a lovely atmosphere. The Clarence Hotel also have a nice restaurant called the Lemongrass.

The Silver Apple is lovely. It is upstairs from a pub called The Loft and has a French influence. It is opposite the bus and train station, on the corner of Wolfe Tone Street and Lord Edward Street. Also had nice meal in Clarion Hotel - but that was a couple of years ago now. The best place to eat in Co. Sligo though is near Castlebaldwin - Cromleach Lodge - DELISH! Enjoy wherever you go!
