Eloping in Venice

Postby Claire Heduan » Thu Feb 15, 2018 8:40 pm

Hi my fiance and I are looking to get married in Venice in October this year. We are hoping for a catholic church wedding and would prefer to do the civil and religious part all on the one day. We are both Catholics and neither of us have been married before. We would not be bringing any guests with us.
Anyone have any suggestions for churches in Venice?
Any idea of the cost of a church wedding in Venice?
O:o)
Thanks Claire

Hi Claire,
I don't think you have to pay for the church ceremony... I made a donation for charity to the church where I got married.
Beside this, I sugget that you ask a wedding planner to assist you with the paperwork.
We couldn't get married with our wedding planner! We arrived 4 days before the wedding, and she guided us through the legal paperwork process, something we probably wouldn't have been able to do on our own as we don't speak Italian! It meant so much to have Danila from Dama Wedding coordinate everything so that we could enjoy the weekend with no stress and concentrate on spending time with family and each other.
Happy planning!
