Hi, I am getting married at Galway Cathedral next year and am looking for some recommendations for music for the service. Do you know if all the music (i.e. beginning, during service and end) has to be of a sacred nature?? Also, as it is a big church, what type of music / instrument might suit it best? Any recommendations of Galway singers welcome also pls! Thanks! Jen

Hi Jen - I've found the Cathedrals to be a little bit stricter on music choice but there's plenty of beautiful church music anyway! If you like male voices you have Frank Naughton in Galway http://www.franknaughton.ie/ You could also try www.louiseharrison.net a soprano from Limerick - she'll travel to Galway. There's also the Corrib String Quartet if you're looking for instrumental Siobhán
