Oh Mrs G I'm so sorry to hear that. I know its devastating but try not get to upset it can't do you or the baby any good. Things will work out - you'll find something, you'll still get paid for your maternity leave from the social. Am sure there is plenty of temp jobs available. Try and stay positive

Poor you. I've just had a look at your ticker and you're about the same stage as me when I was made redundant (last October) so I understand how stressful it can be. I know everyone says not to stress but its easier said than done.
I don't know what area you work in so do you think you might pick up another job fairly quickly?
One thing about qualifying for maternity benefit is that you need to be in insurable employment within 16 weeks of your due date (for me that starts next week but I'm slowly giving up hope
