Ladies, Have any of you continued to colour your hair since getting pregnant. The last of mine has now washed out and its really bugging me. I normally use a semi-permanat to cover greys. Are their any hair colour products out there that are safe to use?

I'm in the exact same boat, really need to put a colour in my hair but I don't know which one's are the safest for pregnancy! Does anyone have any recommendations? [img:1q0o6q0x];10051;28/st/20080620/dt/5/k/9fc8/preg.png[/img:1q0o6q0x]

I read up about this in my pregnancy book and it says that hair colouring is not meant to have any negative side-effects on the pregnancy as only minimal amounts of the ingridients even gets absorbed into the scalp and that modern hair colours available do not have as many 'aggressive' ingridients as they used to before (e.g. less amonia). HTH!

hi - also had this dilemma - half a head of blond hair with mousy brown growing thru rapidly!! i waited til 13 weeks i think and just made sure she knew i was pregnant, she kept it a small bit away from my scalp and i now look almost presentable again!

Thanks for the replies girls. I normally do it myself but I think i will splash out and go to a hairdresser on this occassion. I also read somewhere that your hair reacts differently to a colour during pregnancy becuase of your hormones, i dont want any disasters. :-8
