Help! Small town with nice walks and trad sessions, pubs?

Hi Girls! Im in charge of planning a weekend away for a group of couples and the general concensus is for a small town, not too far from Dublin, with nice walks, pubs and some trad sessions... none of the fancy expensive hotels and castles kind of thing... Totally lost for ideas! Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!!

I'm not familiar with the east coast but I thought of Doolin, Clare, straight away when I read the topic title.
