How much does it cost to go private

I was just wondering how much it cost to go private .....

providing you have private health insurance you just have to pay your consultants fees. These vary from hospital to hospital and also consultant to consultant. For example I am going private in the Rotunda in Dublin and my consultant is costing 4k. My SIL is going private in Portlaoise and she is paying 2300k.

Also if you have health insurance, some policies cover a portion of the consultant fees and also you can claim the balance on your MED1 form from the Revenue I was private in OLOL and my consultant was €2500 Some of the other consultants were €3000

I am paying €4.5k in the Rotunda
