How to transport wet oil paintings

Have just started painting classes and am wondering if anyone has any tips on how to transport my wet oil canvansses from home to class and back again without smudging etc esp in this weather... Thanks

hi, the best thing you can do is bring a second canvas and some cork from white wine(not red as it will stain ) cut them half and place on each corner of canvas ,place other canvas on top it and secure with cellotape this keeps paint from touching anything, you only need small bits of cork just deep enough to keep canvas's apart,secure lightly and the small bit of paint should be easily touched up, put on back window of car as it shouldn't move then, hope this helps
