Just wondering for those of you who are "frontline" staff, when did you tell work you were pregnant? I'm only 5+ weeks now. I met the GP on Friday and she felt there was no need to tell them yet. What is the best thing to do?

I'd say as early as poss, particulary if frontline. Shouldn't be any hassle, you will go through a pretty standard risk assessment with your line manager or whomever and that will be that. I wouldn;t worry about telling early - it's better to be safe than sorry

I told my manager at about 6 weeks, there were certain duties I couldn't do so he was able to cover for me and I wanted him to know early for his own sake too because we were already shortstaffed so he'd have extra time to plan for my maternity leave. Didn't tell anyone else til 12 weeks.
