Initial dress payment - how much?

Hi guys, Just wondering when you order your dress what is the typcial initial payment you make and what subsequent payments you then make? I'm particularly interested to hear from myrtle ivory brides. thanks everyone.

Hi, I paid 50% first payment for both my dress and my BM's dresses.

Gave them 50% and the other 50% when the dress is in

Mine was 50% when ordered and the other 50% when the dress came in. Some places offer a 10% discount if you pay in full. I had the money already for the dress when I prdered it so I paid in full and got the discount. I didn't buy in dublin so the dress wasn't as dear as it could have been

Hi girls, I only had to pay 30%!

I paid 50% and I'm having my first fitting on Thursday and need to pay balance.

only asked to pay 30% going tomorrow to order it!!! thats in McElhinneys in donegal.
