Irish Girls Names

Hi Ladies, I know there has been similar threads, but we are all sorted for a boys names but are really struggling with a girl's name this time round. DD has an unusual Irish name, so I feel we can't just name a sibling, Mary or Ann, etc....I'm not necessarily looking for anything off the wall, DH and I do have a tendancy towards Irish names, currently on our potential list of girls names are: Saoirse, Aisling, Sorcha, Sarah, Kate, Emma,....we like all of them...but feel none of them is "it"....so we are still looking for the perfect name. Any ideas?

Aoife Ciara Úna Sinéad Aoibh (Eve) Orlaith I could go on all day. Ciara and Aoife are my favourite . *edited to say Saoirse is my favourite on your list. :-)

Thanks for those... DH and I have lots of nieces and nephews and unfortunately for us many of the names we might pick are 'gone!'. I have a niece Aoife, Aoibhinn (which is like Aoibh) - I do like Orlaith off your list tho!...might suggest to DH.

I love Irish names, my faves are: Saorla Laoise Níamh Siún Saoirse Éabha Caoileann Aoife Shonadh Now it's just to get preggers.....

I think the spelling is Fíne - it's lovely!
