Hi wollies. I was in Pennys last night and spotted Xmas kissing balls (about 6 inches in diameter). They are covered in fake greenery (kinda like a fake xmas tree) and then they have some decorations attached. The decorations come in ivory or red. I bought some of the ivory ones to place in the windowsills of the church. The ivory ones have a goldey type ribbon - I plan on cutting this off and putting on ivory ribbon. Don't think they'll look Christmasy when I take off gold ribbon. They might also be good for pew ends or to give to FG instead of basket. best of all they were only €2 each. Might be of interest to some of u!!!

I don't have a picture of the Penny's ones but they'd be something like this (except the ones I got have ivory where the red is).

Thats a great idea. They could make great pew ends too. I was looking at these last night!!! The DIY (tissue paper) ones! They look fab and I think they'd make really different pew ends. Must have a look at the Pennys ones though!

The paper ones do look lovely too. I'd say do a few practice ones first though. We tried making some for my sisters birthday party but they didn't come out quiet as lovely and perfect and bushy as they look on the pics you see online. Bit of practice and they should be lookin good though. [img:from02vn]http://ruffledblog.com/vintage-wedding-blog/tissue-pomander.jpg[/img:from02vn] They would definitely make lovely pew ends.
