They used to. I dont think they do now though but afaik they use ingredients that have been tested on animals so in a round about way they do test on animals iykwim.

I try really hard not to buy anything that is tested on animals and I was going to buy a Loreal hair colour a while ago but left it. I thought I remembered hearing that they did test some of their products on animals and I couldn't see anything on the box, so I put it back, I just couldn't use it. Anyway, I was suprised to learn that Tesco's own branded washing powder etc is not tested on animals at all, makes me like Tesco! :-8

I worked for them on a temporary contract and I don't think that they do test on animals. I know that they used to years and years ago....but not sure if they do now.

It's also broken down into categories so you can search for what sort of product you want to use and find a corresponding supplier who chooses not to animal test. This link is similar: I think in this day and age there really is no excuse. Even with laundry powders and liquids there's so much more choice in eco-friendly lines. Same with shampoos and cosmetics. Aesop and Jurlique and two excellent high-end skin care lines which support cruelty-free. Possibly however, being in Australia there may be choice in this area, there are a lot of young companies popping up over here which base their premise around cruelty-free/eco-friendly thinking. - this range is fantastic, very $ resonable, lovely packaging and really good quality.[/url] *edited for spelling errors!*

Meant to add - that stuff above is F-A-B! It stays on really well (much longer than the likes of Lancome's 'Juicy Tubes' etc), gorgeous colours (esp. 'Passionfruit') and cheap as chips - that would cost you about 5 quid. They also ship to Ireland.
