Ring citizens advice i'd say, they are brilliant for advice about this, and they can send you out a booklet on maternity benefit. You are entitled to this if you are working, it comes from the state. Whether your bro would give you additional money is up to him i think.S

You would claim from state/social welfare unless you agree to a different arangement with your new employer. Agree with silini, citizens dvice web page is full of inof on this, or you can also visit http://www.welfare.ie/schemes/families/mb.html
