medical insurance

Hi girls, Just wondering about plans for medical insurance like vhi or bupa. Neither myself or my husband have insurance at the moment.I would like to have it before baby born, due in May. Should i go get covered asap and will it count of should i have been in it for the last year or more?? confused.

I don't think you'd be covered now - not unless you get a plan from work which often doesn't have the waiting time and covers you immediately.
