Mucus plug

Sorry now about this but just wondering do your mucus plug give way altogether or gradually???

I got a few bits a time coming away, it continued from due date until the day I was in labour (3 days over). I was checked when I was 2 days over and was already 1 cm dilated, so its the start of your body getting ready for labour.
