New tax credit cert

I don't really understand these things. But I don't remember on my last pregnancy getting a new cert when I started mat leave. Is this normal?

It is relatively new. Since jan 1014 mat pay is taxable. So they essentially deduct the mat pay from your tax credits. So you get a new tax certificate. You'll get another new one when you finish receiving maternity benefit.
