ovulation pain- is it at the start or end?

If you get ovulation pain do you think you are about to ovulate or do you think you've already ovulated and its too late at that point?

Could be both. Could be the ovaries starting to swell. Could also be the egg bursting through the ovary wall.

Meant to write that you could experience pain for a couple of days.

thanks spice bride. i suppose its just one of the signs and no point getting too hung up on it. had a few twinges in my side today which would be right for ovulation (CD13) but as you say it could mean the start or end of ovulation. cheers
