we just folded a few blankets underneath it and it was fine. We ended up with 4 playmats :ooh all had different things DD liked about them. I shold really make my own all in one :o0 http://www.toys.ie/Tiny-Love-Gymini-Pri ... -prod.aspx this one was a favourite when she was smaller and then she still loves this as you can keep playing with it sitting up , from about 4 months on this was her favourite by far http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/part ... We used the Lamaze one (sorry am not as computer literate as daffodil mummy, no idea how to post a link :o0 ) DS loved it, still does. I'd definitely just put a blanket or two under it, we have wooden floors too and thats what we did. If you get a very padded one it might be very bulky to store?

I'd recoemmend getting one that has mirror and lights and sounds - I'd a plain one and when DD was 3 months PHN visited and said I should have one with lights and music so that DD could learn cause and effect of swatting them etc. the difference it made! DD came on leaps and bounds.

Thanks ladies :thnk :thnk , Im gonna go check them all out, Temperance that was one of them I was looking at myself, it looks soooo snuggly doesnt it Daffodil I had never thought about lights and mirrors will investate that too. Athas I never really gave space and storage a 2nd thought, we have a fairly big house but still the amount I seem to be buying its gonna become fairly cluttered fairly fast :o0 :o0 Must look up that fisherprice one too and see where I end up :o0

Daffodil - never knew that thanks for that nugget of information. Mrs Summer - the one I linked from Mamas and Papas has lights and sounds on it.....have to agree it looks so snuggly. :wv I looked up that Fisher Price one - that looks lovely too - [url:3vzxpbmi]http://www.toys.ie/FISHER-PRICE-RAINFOREST-MELODIES-GYM-!F00738-prod.aspx?qwSessionID=34cfccac-f9c7-4420-93b6-7c3c589fff60[/url:3vzxpbmi] So think I'm between these two

Another recommendation for the Tiny Love Gymini. It was in constant use until fairly recently for DD and will be coming out again for no.2. It has all the bells and whistles (literally) that you need! http://www.tinylove.com/toy.aspx?toyId=32
