They could say they don't have money for socks - but I bet they'd manage to find money for their smokes and/or cans!

oh god i find this all so heartbreaking i just think of my DS and think how would he manage...its just awful :o(

If I saw something like that I would call the Gardai - they have certain powers when it comes to children at risk and can intervene and contact the HSE who will assess the parents. In some circumstances the children go right back to the parents (lack of facilities) but at least the HSE will follow up and be aware of the situation. If the HSE think it necessary they can place the child in foster care until the situation can be properly accessed.

agh these f**k ing ba***rds they have no right to have children when they couldnt give two sh its about them, its heartbreaking to think there are innocent CHILDREN out there neglected and basically [u:kausl6nc]abused[/u:kausl6nc] by the people who should be wrapping them in cotton wool O:|
