Have been to Albufeira and its lovely.Lots to do and plenty of restaurants and bars but its a bit quieter than PDR I have heard great reports from people who have been there recently about a fab hotel called Princessa something or something Princessa.Might be worth looking into.

Definately go for Albufeira - the old town part. Praia da Rocha, although it has a beautiful beach is ruined by all the ugly tower blocks. Sol E Mar Hotel in the old town of Albufeira is supposed to be very nice, as is the Rocamar Hotel. Are you booking it independently, or through a travel agent? If you are doing a diy, have a look at and for accommodation. For online reviews check out or and Portugal is a lovely place. Hope you have a great time :o)ll
