I may have an emergency appointment with a consultant due to problems with my hospital care and just need to know what questions to ask. I have a couple of my own but are there any big questions? Thanks

I dont know your emergancy and how far your are gone and I dont know what your cons does every visit but make sure they check placenta and cord , heart rate and perhaps size of baby. If you are bleeding, maybe get swabs done and check to see to cervix is dilated. Check for glucose and protein in urine, temperature and blood pressure. Trying to cover everything as I dont know when you are due. Best of luck hun, hope all will go well. Edited.. just see you are 23 weeks, at 24 weeks you can get the lung shots if there are problems. Also ask them to check the level of your waters.

Thanks wife 09. Basically hospital messed up my appointments and I should have had 2 already. They've never checked urine and sent my blood results from 10 weeks ago to the wrong doctor. I made a complaint and only got an official response today stating they were bringing me in for an emergency consultation because of all the above and some pelvic pain I've been experiencing

WMB delighted they are seeing you! Get your blood results and your urine and blood pressure checked. Maybe a mini scan if they have it available, if not doppler etc and they should measure your abdomen I would have thought (at least I have started having this done now). See if they will refer you with the pevis painb, not sure exactly how it works but I have heard from others that if you get a referral you might get into the mat hospital one which would be better and a lot cheaper than going to private sessions yourself. Also, use it as a chance to discuss your plans for the birth if you have any and any concerns you might have.

WMB I'm delighted that they have finally admitted that they have been wrong, and great that you got seen, did it go ok? Still can't believe how badly they've treated you, but so relived for you that they're getting it sorted.

Jarashow, I was happy that I was seen but honestly that's the most positive thing I can say. Since the whole episode started my anxiety levels have gone through the roof with the result that I've been having massive panic attacks. This has all stemmed from them and their blatant disregard for anyones welfare. So now because of this the cons wants me to see a hspital specialist in anxiety and depression in pregnancy and start taking medication >:o( I also should have been referred to the anaesthetist because I'm not suitable for the epidural because of back and neck problems. This should have been done @ 12 weeks >:o( I feel very let down and hard done by. DH spoke with a solicitor this morning and he's making contact with the Master who is now (2 weeks later) bothering to look at my complaint. He wants to see the response from the master and he took copies on everything on my file incl the fact they sent bloods to the wrong gp, blood results are marked as having been discussed with me when this never happened. It's all just stress I don't need @ 23 weeks pregnant
