Safety question

I am due to visit an engineering plant next week with work, where there are coal fired turbines and gas machines. They are aware that I am preg and I know that I can say no to anything if I feel unconfortable. Just wondering what your thoughts are on safety of this visit? Do you think it's safe in pregnancy? I googled but didnt get any info back, anyone been in the same situation? Thanks.

im not sure but would the plant have a policy for their own workers who are pregnant that you could go by?

i would speak with the health and safety officer in the plant - most factories have such officers on the premises on a daily basis i think

or the occupational health doctor.
