Scans - public v private

Sorry for busting in on the P&B forum..my friend is having a baby soon and is public..she was saying she's only had 1 scan and that was when she was a few weeks gone in the first trimester. Is that really true? I thought they'd review the pregnancy to see there's not twins there or anything wrong, etc.. I have another friend who went private for her little boy and she said she had several scans....

I dont know what the standard is, im sure every hospital has a different policy. My sister went public and had 2 scans during her pregnancy. I am 28weeks and going private. So far i've had 5
