Ladies, I've got blue bridesmaid dresses - darker than royle blue but way off navy...if that makes sense. Anyway, I'm searching for shoes and accessories and i'm kind of stuck. I was leaning towards gold because the men are wearing goldy ties and there's a hint of gold through my dress. Only problem is that all the gold stuff in the shops looks pretty naff and cheap. Any ideas or has anyone seen anything suitable in the shops. Thanks!

Annie I was going to suggest silver to you as my bridemaids are in blue (although a lighter colour than yours) and they have bougth darkish silver peeptoe sandals and are going to wear silver jewellery. However I see you want to tie yours in. Navy does sound slightly odd with gold and I totally agree the gold in shops can be really cheap looking. Have you compared the colours together ?There is gold in the bodice of my dress and Ive had a complete nightmare getting gold shoes/sandals that arent bling bling.. If you have a picture of your BMs dresses some of the other girls might be able to give you a good idea about accessories...

I found a few pairs on the Faith website that you might be interested in. They're more a pale gold which I think myself is not as "brassy" looking as some brighter golds can be. The cream sounds lovely. My initial thoughts would be silver too but the cream would be closer to the gold.

I like the cream ones. I'm going to have blue bridesmaids as well. Cream is very pretty, and they'll wear them again which can be hard with gold!

This is the dress - http://www.dessygroup.co.uk/index.cfm?g ... rtColor=41 and the colour I have is sailor - you can select using the left naviagion. Bree, that's gas. I was looking at the last 2 pairs of shoes last night. This middle one didn't look great - not enough height and the last pair was sold out of most sizes. I was looking at these in Oasis but not sure - [img:2gd5yuu5]http://www.oasis-stores.com/pws/images/catalogue/products/6150003104/xlarge/6150003104.jpg[/img:2gd5yuu5]

I think a beigy-cream would be lovely with that dress and should tie in nicely with the gold. check out New Look, they always have lovely shoes.

Annie the dress and colour are beautiful. I think those Oasis shoes are lovely and really would go very nicely with the dress.

Hey Annie77, I just wanted to say those dresses are fab and the colour is really lovely. I'm actually thinking of getting them myself but I've only seen them on the internet. Can you tell me, are they as nice in real life? Im sure they are fab! Is the length just below the knee? Sorry for hijacking your post. Any other info would be appreciated!

They're below the knee, they are lovely. We tried them on in a place in Swords - can't think of the name now but you'll find it on the Dessy website. They stock all the dessy dresses so it's great - worth a visit. I purchased online with Gownsales.com - no hassel and much cheaper.
