hello ladies, im looking for opinions re wedding dresses. i am 5ft 6 and a size 12ish and have always found that dresses that suit me a more 'party' style ie fitted bodice and a fuller skirt. i havent tried any bridal shops yet as we are still trying to sort out a date and am getting worried that a longer dress wont suit me. i have seen a nice wedding dress in this style on the net at http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com/d ... ize-4.html. what are peoples opinions on these shorter dresses? are they seen as appropriate?

Does anyone else have any info or websites where I can source shorter dresses? What designers do them? Thanks!

Candy Anthony is reknowned for making shorter style dresses (if you have the budget). The dresses are made to measure and she is based in London unfortunatley but go to the 'gallery' bit on her website to get some ideas. Vivian of Holloway also do these style dresses for next to nothing in eaither white or ivory and can be made to measure also. Have a look on their website too for some ideas. I think forever brides do some shorter stlyes. Have to say that when I was looking for my dress very few of the shops I went to did them. I love them and think they look amazing but they're just not 'me' if you know what I mean!
