skiing livigno italy

Hi girls, Need advice on a skiing holiday for newyears. Want to go here ideally to a hotel. Both of us are beginners. We are going with a group who have already got accommodation but their hotel is full. Not sure the name but don't really mind if the hotel is not right beside theirs. Can anyone advise if livigno is a good place to go for skiing as a beginner and what recommendations they would have in terms of hotels their etc. Thanks a mil, Celtic
