Hi girls recently I purchased a Tense machine from Lidil for €30. Just wondering are all Tense machines safe to use in pregnancy, or should I purchase a specific one for pregnancy! Thanking you all in advance for your help hugo087

The tens machine that is used for labour should have a 'boost' function on it so allow you to 'boost' it with each contraction. I hired one last time but didnt get to use it as i was induced suddenly due to pre eclampsia.

You need the boost button and one thats approved for labour. They are great though, in the hospital the pain relief is not always available, you could be waiting to be moved to a bed with gas and air or to get an epidural. The tens machine is yours and you can control it, no waiting!!
