Thank you cards for separated couple

Hi, I'm in the process of sending out my thank you cards. Since we got married a couple who attending and gave a gift has separated and I don't know what to put on the card. Has anyone come across this before and if so how did you handle it.

I would send two separate cards thanking each of them for coming and for the gift
