Hey, I know as a rule of thumb you send out invites 6-8 weeks before..but before what..the wedding date or the rsvp date? Thanks :wv

It's usually 6 - 8 weeks before the wedding date. The rsvp date is up to you.

My understanding is that you send them 6-8 weeks before the wedding date and then you set an RSVP date about 2 weeks before the wedding, which means people have 4 weeks to make a decision. Enough time in my books. So for example: we are getting married on March 28th. 6 weeks before that is valetines so we are going to send them the week that before giving an RSVP date of March 10th which is mid week - hopefully giving us enough time to ring around people who don't reply on time.
