facilities are crap here in comparison to the continent- IMO, in France for eg, the campsites have playground, restaurants, swimming pool, you would be lucky to get a clean public toilet here!

Thats a good one in tralee, or any outdoor adventure centers are good for camping. Hiring a mobile home on a beach is a good option too.

Morris Castle in Kilmuckridge, Co Wexford.... Right beside the beach & Shops, about a 5 min drive to the village that has pubs, shops, etc there is a bus in the evenigs and nights when the pubs close that will bring you back home for €2 per head..one of the hotels the kids eat free (if you have kids), about 30 min drive to wexford town, 15 min drive to courtdown

We bought a Caravan at the weekend and Im just after finding
www.camping-ireland.ie and they have a list of caravan parks all over Ireland. We are thinking of heading over to Sligo this weekend!!

We used to go camping a good bit a few years ago. We would always go around Wicklow. There are 2 really nice campsites, one in Rathdrum and one in Roundwood. I love the one in Rathdrum, it is beside a river and there is a lake in the middle that you can take rowing boats out on. The town is only about 5 mins walk away.
