Hi Ladies, I know its prob been asked a million times before but if you get an invite to a wedding for the full day but cant go, what do you give them as a gift? i want to give them cash as a gift but dont no how much to give, just wonderin whats the norm??

Of the people who could not go but gave us gift - either cash or voucher - we got €100-€200, same gift as what they would have given if they went I imagine!

I would have thought €50 would :wv be the norm here tbh!

We got a few refusals and the gifts varied from nothing to 200euro. To be honest I didn't expect anything and thought it was extremely generous of the guests who gave us something. I think 50euro is generous or a token gift if funds are tight. If it's an very close friend I would probaby give a it more. Hope it helps!
