I began my photography career in live music and travel photography and got into wedding photography about twelve years ago just for friends only. However, I quickly discovered that I love shooting weddings and in particular the weddings of people that are after something very special.
My style of wedding photography is best described as a combination of fine art photography and photojournalism. Rather than posed or highly styled shots, I like to shoot documentary-style pictures that capture candid pictures of people, décor and action.
I always try to choose angles and backgrounds that make everything look its best and once I’ve done that I can capture something real from you, the couple. Where possible I look for an intimate space for group portraits as there I find, I get more interaction with everyone and there is no need for dramatic posing or lots of direction and most importantly we are not gone from the party for hours!
In short - I love meeting new people and the great pictures that I can create in new exciting venues, focusing on the documentary style of each unique wedding day, capturing the moments of the day with feeling and atmosphere and hopefully give you more than just photographs of your day.
