My fiance and I travelled out to Kaprun in February of this year, after, over a year of planning for our wedding... Karin and Rita made our wedding day, the most amazing and spectacular day of our lives....and one we and our 31 guests will never forget.... Karin, Rita and their family run a beautiful hotel that is not only welcoming but clean and modern with a traditiional twist. The planning and communication between myself, Karin and other members of staff for our wedding and our parties stay in its entirety was second to none... We could have not chosen a more stunning hotel with the most hospitible family and staff if we had tried to... Nothing was too much trouble and we are going to try and return every 2 years for our anniversaries....
The locality of the hotel is perfect... as it slightly away from the town center but yet only a lovely 10 min walk, where you can enjoy the slopes and other bars or resturants... Although the food in the hotel is so plentifull and beautiful, you will not need to eat out....
If you are disapointed with this hotel, its comfort, its cuisine, its welcoming staff... then I will be utterly shocked!!!!!!!!!

Myself and my now husband chose this hotel and family to house and plan our wedding in the beautiful Kaprun Castle on 29th January. I communicated solely through email with Karin the wedding planner and others in the team such as Anja and Stephanie.
We had 20 guests travel with us and from the moment we arrived at the hotel everyone was treated with great hospitality. If we needed anything (kettle, extra pillow etc) or wanted advice on things to do (ski passes, trip to salzburg, tauern spa) they were so helpful. If you book through the hotel they offer a discount due to the family being so recognised in Kaprun, they literally did everything for us!
The hotel itself is just huge, the quirky car museum was such a surprise, the restaurant with wooden roofing is beautifully set and the spa is a perfect way to rest up from the slopes and days activities. We stayed in the awesome Romantic Suite which was huge with stunning views and luxuries such as large open bath, big long corner sofa, 4 poster drapped bed, bar area with fridge and large balcony. All our guests seemed to be upgraded automatically where rooms were available and everyone said how spacious and warm they were.
The food in the hotel is such a high quality, at dinner the salad is extensive and wonderfully fresh but make sure you save room for the other 3 courses that are not to be missed. Very impressive.
All the staff I encountered were very friendly from the reception, bar, restaurant, cleaners and of course Karin and her father too. The night before our wedding the boys went to local Kaprun town (15 mins walk) whilst the girls were entertained by a live band in the hotel with dancing and yodelling, hilarious!
On our wedding day I was completely overwhelmed by the level of detail that Karin had gone to to make our day so special. I literally can't find the words to thank everyone enough. I won't spoil other brides surprises as it truly is more than you can ever dream of. After our wedding on the Tuesday we received our photos on the Thursday evening, presented so beautifully, my heart swelled all over again at the memories our photographer captured.
I will never forget our wedding day and will certainly return to this beautiful village and most definitely stay at Verw?hnhotel V?tters Sportkristall again. Please keep doing what you're doing!

We had the most amazing day, and if we had to do it again we would not change a single thing. Everything was exceptionally well organized and thought through. Karin's attention to detail and keeping on top of things was second to none. The whole team went out of their way to make sure we and our friends and families had the most amazing time. We had guests from all over the world come and the ages ranged from Paul who is 1yr to grandparents in their 80's and was worried about people slipping and sliding in the snow, but not cracked hips or slips. We are still getting calls & messages from guests saying how much they enjoyed the wedding and their stay at V?tter's, and no doubt some of them are already planning return visits for skiing & summer holidays. The location was stunning no doubt about that, but what really made it were the people. The minute you walk into V?tters you feel like you're part of the family. It is a family run hotel where staff are super friendly and know guests by name. We had been there on a short holiday the year before and when we came back for our wedding it felt like coming home. We thought it would be difficult to organise a wedding in the Austrian Alps all the way from Australia but Karin, Rita and Anja were brilliant and made everything painless.
Communication via email and Skype was outstanding, although we had shorts and T-shirts on while they were suffering from the cold winter and were wrapped up :) And the saying 'First impressions are lasting impressions' is so true: The very first time we tried to call the hotel we could not get through, their line was busy. However within minutes our phone rang and it was Anja from reception who noticed that we had tried to call. We thought wow if they make the effort to return a missed call from Australia that must be a good sign. From then everything went like a dream and we have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending the team at Hotel V?tters. Big thanks to Karin, Rita, 'Chef', Mrs V?tter, Anja, Steffi, Matthias, Gernod, Sophia & Ann Kathrin, and anyone we may have missed!!!
