Bridal Seamstress

Catherine Cross is a highly experienced bridal seamstress and has worked within the bridal industry for over years. Trained at the Grafton Academy and Laura Ashley in Dublin, after which she opened her own bridal shop in Wexford where she designed and made wedding gowns and bridesmaids’ dresses. More recently she has worked from her base in Rathangan Co. Kildare providing an alteration service for many of the surrounding bridal shops. Whilst she no longer designs or makes wedding gowns she specialises in all aspects of altering and re-modelling dresses to ensure they are just perfect for every client. Beading, applique and train hook-ups are her speciality and she will also advise on adding straps or cap sleeves, and will make up jackets or shrugs for brides when time allows.  All dresses are pressed and steamed ready for wear when leaving. She has vast experience in altering all the top brands of wedding gowns including Vera Wang, Pronovias, La Sposa, Justin Alexanda, Mikaella, Sophia Tolli to name but a few.She is merely minutes from Newland’s Cross and once an appointment has been made with her she will send a text with detailed instructions on how to find her.
