Cascina Capitanio and Resort Al Castello is a beautiful and historic 16th-century manor house, located in the ancient village of Silavengo, in the heart of the stunning Novara countryside in Piedmont, just 30 minutes from Milan Malpensa Airport.
The area is renowned for the production of gourmet Italian foods and fine wines, which allows us to bring the best local products to every event we host.
Our catering team, composed of expert chefs and qualified waiting staff, specializes in organizing banquets for up to 500 people, but our true passion lies in intimate, personalized, and tailor-made weddings.
We understand that "beautiful" and "historic" do not necessarily mean "comfortable," which is why we have combined historical charm with the modern comfort of a welcoming 4-star venue. We can accommodate up to 48 guests in our beautiful rooms, and for larger groups, we collaborate with local hotels, always managing transportation to ensure a stress-free experience.
From Milan Malpensa Airport, we can arrange transfers upon request. Our goal is to make sure you experience your wedding with complete peace of mind, together with your guests.

Many couples who choose to get married with us come from abroad and wish to spend a few days with their guests, exclusively enjoying our hospitality. For this reason, we strive to make our sposi feel at home, relieving them of any worries with a personalized plan. We offer exclusive use of Cascina Capitanio, and if you decide to stay overnight, Al Castello Resort will also be fully reserved for you and your guests for the entire duration of your stay, including a daily buffet breakfast and full access to all our facilities.

From the arrival day by the amazing pool, reserved exclusively for us and our guests, to the delicious pizza evening in the beautiful courtyard, and finally our wedding at the stunning Cascina Capitanio—it was simply perfect.
The enchanting garden, the beautiful covered ceremony space, the incredibly charming areas for the aperitivo, the gorgeous portico and the fantastic party room—it truly felt like a dream come true.
But most importantly, the team puts so much heart into everything they do. Their warmth, passion, and care made all the difference.
We are absolutely in love with this place and couldn’t be happier!
From the first time we met Sabrina, we knew we had to have our wedding at this venue. She is such a warm and caring person, and it was clear straight away that she genuinely cares about every wedding she hosts. That personal touch meant so much to us and made the whole experience feel even more special.
We had a 3 day event as Cascina Capitanio, with day 1 being a pizza party welcome dinner, day 2 being the wedding and day 3 being a brunch and pool day for all the sore heads after. The food was absolutely excellent, and so many of our guests commented on how incredible it was.
We didn’t have a wedding planner or coordinator for the day, and Michela, the wedding manager, was an amazing help in organising everything for us leading up to the wedding. Then on the day itself, Michela and Silvia were such a huge help and made everything feel so calm and effortless. What could have been a stressful day was instead completely stress-free because of them.
They also helped so much with recommending nearby accommodation for guests who weren’t staying in the hotel beside the venue, assisting with transfers for our guests to get to the venue from the airport and local accommodations on the wedding day and they were brilliant when it came to helping us with some of our vendors, including the florist and videographer. That level of care and support meant so much to us.
Our 3-day celebration, and especially our wedding day, was truly perfect from beginning to end. I don’t have the words to describe how special they made our day, they made us feel at home and a part of the family, and we look forward to meeting Sabrina and the whole team in the future. I honestly couldn’t recommend this venue enough.

The communication and the organisation always has been easy and professional.
We also had an amazing pizza party the night before the wedding.
The day of the wedding was perfectly planed and everybody from Cascina Capitanio did a great job. The ceremony, the aperitiv, the dinner and of course the location were perfectly thought out and with lots of love.
What was very noticeable, that the staff was very professional, polite and lovely!
All in all it was an unforgetable wedding, all guest were happy and told us, that they never has been on a better wedding.

Simply an incredibly beautiful location. From the very beginning, the communication was very professional but also warm. During the rehearsal dinner on site, we felt the charm of this fantastic venue. You can see that everything is done with attention to detail. There was always a contact person on site who was available to us and our witnesses.
The venue takes care of so much that would otherwise be handled by a local wedding planner.
The staff is super accommodating.
Setup and takedown can also be easily combined, as there is enough space in the various locations.
For a weekend wedding or with a longer journey, we found the option of a pizza party the night before and a pool party on the day of departure to be brilliant. However, it might be a good idea to stay an extra night for an even more relaxed end to the wedding.
The value for money is also great for a weekend wedding abroad!
A truly highly recommended experience from all our guests.

We’d like to mention two minor points, however: Unfortunately, there was no service by the pool on the day we spent there, so we had to go to the indoor bar each time we wanted food or drinks. Additionally, email communication during the wedding planning process was sometimes a bit challenging, as misunderstandings occasionally arose. However, these were quickly and easily resolved after in-person video meetings.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend this venue!
