Hi Annie,
We are now back in England after our Italian romance. Our guests haven't stopped raving about their time with us, and the day itself at the Villa in Lucca - thank you so much, a hundred times, for everything you did for us - it was more magical than we had hoped and surpassed our every expectation. And the whole 'shabbang' was way more spectacular than we had imagined when all the elements came together. Getting ready the morning of, it actually felt like being on a film set with all the activity of people building the different parts of our day on site in the morning; it created a real buzz and really got the excited nerves going, which all added to the magic of the day. Particular aspects highlighted by our guests were the ceremony and your wonderful words which everyone found really touching and personal, the excellence of the string quartet, the beautiful flowers, the amazing (and such a lot of!) food, and the brilliant band. Please extend my huge personal thanks to the wonderful florists -: the flowers really were absolutely perfect- all of them; from the bouquets to the table arrangements- just fabulous- and created exactly the feel we had dreamed of. Every element was really just wonderful.
. As for photography- we would like her to choose the photos for our album: On this subject- I have to say the photographers were brilliant also: very unobtrusive and courteous,we barely noticed they were there.

Just wanted to thank you for all you did for us. I was worried about booking the Lucca venue without seeing it - but really all I?d say is that seeing it just a few days before the wedding was enough to blow all my nerves away! It was truly beautiful & the service & staff couldn't have been more friendly & helpfull!
The food was amazing, the church, venue ,everything was fantastic...I would recommend the hairdresser i had..., as he wasn't too expensive& I was able to have a great practice in Lucca at his salon prior to the wedding. The harpist was amazing& the English speaking priest put our nerves to ease. Such a lovely priest! ... . everybody had a great time !

First of all many congrats on deciding to getting married in Italy. Tuscany is simply the only way to go when it comes to getting married.
When Caoimhe and I decided on Tuscany, we were given Annie as the person to organize our special day after we saw our friends get married in Venice.
Well what I can say about Annie. She is simply she is the most courteous, most professional, most sincere person we have ever had to employ. I say employ because at times we forgot we were paying her to do this work for us, we became very good friends for the 9 months we were in contact in organizing the big day. Rest assured she is very particular and will leave nothing to chance. Having her to organize your wedding is simply the only way to go. Without her both of us couldn?t have had our amazing day.
The moment we met Annie last July 2008, we knew we were in safe hands. With a fluent tongue in Italian she was able to be the go-between from us to the hotel staff, church authorities and other people needed for the wedding. She originally comes from the UK so it was also nice to have the humour there as well!! She has been in Italy for over 20 years.
As for the day itself, leading up to it we had several days relaxing at the villa. We got married on the Easter Bank holiday Monday 13th April. We flew out on the Tuesday 7th April to allow time to meet the priests, see the town hall authorities and view the church etc. I would highly recommend you are in Tuscany several days before the big day, trust me it?s worth it. By the time our guests started to arrive we were very chilled out with the area and our guests kept us going saying we looked so relaxed that we looked like we owned the villa!!!
We made sure we had time for ourselves each day and because we got there early enough in the week before the big day and got all the official stuff out of the way so it meant we had a couple of days to ourselves before guests arrive. Taking bike rides around the Lucca village and taking strolls round the area was sheer bliss. The weather was a bonus, April time can be a little iffy but we got 25 degrees on most days and even the weather stayed for us on the big day (well except for one small shower of rain in the afternoon which the priest told us was actually good luck). By the time we came out of church the place was scorching again and well the weather was bliss for the rest of the day!
The hotel staff were amazing. Like Annie they were so professional and so kind. Nothing was too much for them to do.
Some of our guests were so impressed of the services they received and the food they had both before the wedding, at the wedding and afterwards that some are returning next year.
Actually Caoimhe and I are returning next year for our 1 year anniversary, yes, it really was that magical!
We still have friends and family say what an amazing time they had. People were telling us that it?s the best wedding they had been in either years or for some it was the best ever!
Having a wedding abroad and having your close friends and family there makes the day even more special.
I cannot think of anything that we would do any better, there simply isn?t anything. The accommodation, the food, the staff, Annie, the church? nothing was just ?ok? it was all better than we expected, it was fantastic.
Also if you go with Annie, then take her advice on things such as flowers, photography, hair etc.
We were very lucky to have for our wedding a string quartet for the church and for the reception (again Annie knows them) and the violins and the singer at the church made a lot of people fill up!!!
Anyways, I think that?s all I will rant on about the wedding. You will be in safe hands with both the hotel staff and of course Annie.
I would recommend that you meet Annie and see the place at least once before the wedding if you can, so you can see it in all its glory as well as see Annie. If this is not possible then it?s not the worst.

Thank you for your fantastically hard work with the 3 weddings in September, not to mention the assistance with obtaining the legal permission. I know how complicated the legalities were with these three particular couples and I don?t think we would have made it without your incredible knowledge of the Italian legal system!
The venue visit with Sue and Tim went really well and they loved the menus provided by the caterers. The day itself was a triumph, even with that terrible rain, and your sense of humour and tireless imput made it possible for everyone to enjoy themselves. Where do you get the energy?
Jane and Peter were thrilled with their ceremony at the castle and it was such a lovely day. Your role as celebrant was beautiful, it added grace and depth to their wedding day and everyone was so happy.
Sally and Mark had a wonderful day at their wedding in Arezzo and thank you for liasing with Alberto at the town hall, doing so much hard work and ensuring that their day was a perfect one.
