The current wedding planner took over after we had booked to have our wedding at the chateau, nervous as we were we need not have been as she was absolutely amazing. The venue was stunning and the food seriously good! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding. We had a pre-gathering the day before to get warmed up and partied till early hours of the morning on our wedding day. We had a 10/10 experience. With regards to the responsiveness, as a keen bride I wanted to be super organised and have everything in place months before. I was not getting the same feeling from the Chateau - However, I did learn that this was because people in France are more relaxed than I was and that they sort things out nearer the time, I need not have panicked.
We will be going back to visit the Chateau and Jenny to re live the memories very soon.

What can we say about our time with Jenny and David at Chateau de Jalesnes.
We had booked the venue two years earlier after a visit to France and my wife and I fell in love with the place! The venue, the owners, the hospitality and the service.
Over the course of the planning and the wedding itself we became very close to both Jenny and David and consider them friends.
There really wasn't any other choice after we spent 48 hours checking it out.
We couldn't have picked a better venue. We rented out the venue for four days for our wedding in May 2019 and we had 90 guests attend.
I must say that Jenny, David, and the team were excellent, they really understood what we wanted. They went above and beyond during the wedding and made sure that all of our guests' needs were attended to.
As you can already see from the pictures the venue is incredible, the rooms are fantastic and the whole experience was just magical. We couldn't have wished for a better venue and service.
I must give a special mention to Chef Eric and the catering for the whole four days, but especially the wedding breakfast! We had so many compliments on the food, honestly, it's hard to fully put into words just how incredible it and he was. He was a great listener and provided the highest quality food for the whole time we were there.
If you get the chance to have your wedding or any event at Chateau de Jalesnes then I strongly recommend you do. You will NOT be disappointed.
Thanks again for such a wonderful few days, we only wish we could do it all again.

(1) Venue: The Chateau is an amazing venue with tastefully refurnished guestrooms with en-suite bathrooms, beautiful garden, a small wood inside the complex, and even a chapel. Nothing to complain!
(2) Services: Jenny, David and team have been amazing at helping us arrange the wedding (in terms of a lot of the logistics), and giving us options and coordinate with various third party vendors / service providers (for catering, wine, flower arrangements, activities for guests, etc.) One note is that these vendors are usually small businesses in the surrounding area, so they don't usually respond as quickly as most big-city-dwellers expect. But they do deliver what they promise :)
(3) Location: it is located in a small town in the Loire Valley region, so not a lot in the immediate surrounding areas and guests will generally need to drive to other locations of interests. For some of my guests who prefer not to drive, Jenny and David arranged car pick up from nearby train station (Tours, which is around 1 hour away) and it was quite convenient.

Jenny and David really did create a home from home feel, and it truly felt like the Chateau belonged to us for the weekend. With an incredible back drop for wedding photos, a relaxed pool vibe for either side of the wedding and beautifully decorated rooms for accommodation ... we really didn't want the party to end (and neither did our guests who ended up extending their trip and booking on for extra nights).
No ask felt like too much and Jenny allowed me/us the freedom to try and bring our ideas to life across the wedding weekend. Of course we are biased to it being the best weekend but our guests genuinely are still talking about the wedding 6 months later and I've had numerous people reaching out to ask about the venue for a wedding. Can't recommend this beautiful, traditional and yet modern Chateau enough. 5 days flew by and I wish we could go back and relive every moment again.
If you're a bride-to-be and striving for that fairy-tale beginning to married life then honestly look no further.
