David Baker- Wedding DJ of the Year

If you're thinking about having David as your Wedding DJ we would highly recommend that you book him. As we weren't having a band we wanted to make sure that the DJ was going to be really good. David was brilliant. We did a lot of research before booking David and we are so glad we went with him.

Here are just a few of the reasons why:

Excellent communication - he responds quickly and helpfully to any questions
Flat rate for the night - many other DJ we spoke to charge a fixed amount for each hour beyond a specific time
Very helpful - we needed a piece of equipment and David went out of his way to find it for us even though it was nothing to do with him

At no point through the night did we feel that we had missed out on anything by not having a band, David ensured that all our guests had a great time by making sure that he played something for everyone.

Finally and most importantly to us, for the 6 hours that David played, there were more people on the dancefloor than sitting down at all times.

Hi David, We found you to be very professional in the lead up to our wedding and on the night. We were very impressed with your music library. Any song we requested you had no problem playing. It was very kind of you to play the slovak music. My inlaws really liked that and it added a real personal touch as well as surprise! It was great that you set up your equipment earlier so you would be ready to play once the band stopped as there was no break in the entertainment. If we ever need a dj in the future we will give you a call and would definitely recommend you to other people.

Absolutely fantastic, professional, obliging and perfect for our wedding night. From start to finish David ensured all our guests were accommodated, the dance floor was buzzing the whole night. We initially looked at a band and then a dj, but our budget did not stretch nearly far enough!!! "We had our wedding in Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links in July 2012 and David was available to start earlier than usual, because we weren't having a band. I was very particular about what music I wanted played on the night and I made up my own list of songs to choose from. David was very helpful with the whole process and he replied to emails immediately (I was organzing everything from the US, where I live). Just wanted to thank you for providing such a good night's entertainment at
our wedding on 31 May! I never knew I was surrounded by so many ravers! If I
had seen the playlist beforehand I probably would have ran a mile but you
were great at reading the crowd & keeping them on the dancefloor & everyone
had a ball! Even the hotel staff commented on how practically everyone was
on the dancefloor for the whole night & how unusual that is.

A friend of mine commented that you know it's a good party when the DJ is
taking footage on his iPhone! A very valid point we thought! I was hoping if
you had any footage you might send me a copy for our DVD as our videographer
would only have got the early part of the night!

Settling in well. Can't believe it's over a month since we got married. The time has just gone by so fast!!

I have to say we were both so happy with you as DJ. Anyone we have spoken to since said you were brilliant.

We both really enjoyed the variety of music and the request cards were fantastic they made people feel part of the reception.

We hired David Baker for our wedding in September (2011). He got everybody up dancing with a perfect mix of music covering the range of guests (both age and background). His ideas proved to be a hit with everybody, and the personal touch was second to none - we felt like he'd put a lot of thought into making the night special for us and it certainly worked. David had plenty of contact with us beforehand and he was happy to work around our personal requests (no matter how quirky) and executed them perfectly. We ditched the idea of a band and just had David a decision we knew was right. The event was two months ago but people still talk about the great night they had.

All I can say is what a FANTASTIC day we had. It was relaxed and great fun from start to finish and I honestly don?t think it could have gone any better. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and some have said its? the best wedding they were ever at!!

You played a massive part in it and I honestly can?t thank you enough. You could tell that everyone was mad to get on the dance floor and the music throughout the meal definitely helped with that. There was a buzz in the air! Did you come up with the intro songs for the speeches yourself? They were fantastic! If you did come up with them yourself then I am gobsmacked at the Rocky song for Paul as it is SO appropriate for him!

One girl wrote in the guest book that she wishes she could get married again so that she could have a DJ like ours!

I don?t think the dance floor was empty once all night so that says what a success the music was. I have often been at weddings where people don't get up till after midnight!

David did a 5 star job for our wedding in Slieve Russell Cavan in June.From the first phone call we knew we had picked the right D.J.

No matter what time I emailed or rang David ,in the wedding buildup ,he got straight back to me which is fantastic in a very stressful time for all couples.

Our wedding was a mixed age group [like most weddings]and David seemed to cater for all.We were in college in the early 90;s and I asked David to play a set of songs from this time which he did wonderfully.

A gang of us were also in Australia for the year off together in 98/99 and I asked David to get a few particular songs for that gang that were only hits in Australia and he somehow managed to get them for us.

He arrived at the hotel at the same time as the band to set up which was very relaxing for us knowing that all was in order early on in the night.

The request cards that David puts out on on the tables and the request name display board are a brilliant way to get all tables of a wedding involved as the different groups present at the wedding would join in when there songs popped up on the screen.

David found out the names of our wedding party and used them during the night to call them out for some fun and games which was a really nice touch.Thanks for helping greatly to give us the best day and night of our lives.

David was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish, very well prepared, very professional but always relaxed which is important in dealing with stressed out brides and grooms to be! We did not have a band at our wedding so he played music right through the meal until the end of the festivities. That is long time to keep people entertained but he was always able to judge the tempo in varying the music and ensuring there was something for all the family. No request was too obscure for him and he accommodated all of them with a smile. I don?t think I have ever seen the dance floor so consistently full for a wedding so that tells its own story!

We had David Baker at our wedding on the 7th of August. He did a fantastic job and everyone was commenting how there wasn't a single bad song played all night. David really listened to what we wanted when we spoke to him in the run up to the day, and we had some fairly specific requests as my husband's family is Sri Lankan and we wanted some of their music played too. Nothing was too much trouble - David was full of suggestions but not pushy when we said we didn't want certain things. On the night he had the crowd on the dancefloor till the very end and ensured that everyone had a fabulous time! I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ for their wedding (or other occasion)!

I just wanted to write you a thank you email for your excellent work at our wedding.
During the preparation of our wedding, my now husband and I didn?t agree on a lot of stuff (I wanted a chocolate fountain and he wanted a traditional wedding cake, I wanted a civil ceremony and he wanted a religious one, etc). One thing we both agreed from the start was to hire you for the music. I enquired with a few DJ companies who wanted me to pay a deposit and confirm the booking before actually meeting the DJ. We decided to hire you because we met you, you were very friendly, full advice and easy going from the start, so we knew we were getting a professional before paying the deposit. We weren?t disappointed. We loved the music, the request cards and the guests had the best time. We also loved the fact that you listened to what we wanted (ours was a wedding attended mainly by young people, so didn?t want very traditional music and you provided us with that). Overall, you made our wedding celebration fantastic and even friends who never dance at weddings were dancing at ours!
